City’s Closed Door Trash Lawsuit Meeting

On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, the St. Paul city council is scheduled to hold a “closed door” meeting to discuss our referendum lawsuit.  The meeting agenda specifically states that the closed door session will be held at 2 pm “to discuss pending litigation in Bruce Clark, et al v. City of St. Paul” and “2020 budget implications.”

Contrary to the City’s prior statements, it appears that their new trash plan is giving rise to some unanticipated financial issues.

After their closed door meeting, the council’s regularly scheduled 3:30 pm public meeting will follow.  Their regular May 8 meeting is significant due to the anticipated vote on two City Charter amendments.
