Judge Castro’s Ruling

Following the May 9, hearing, Judge Leonardo Castro issued his May 30, 2019, decision. Judge Castro ruled in favor of the Petitioners, ordering the City to place the referendum of the trash plan ordinance 18-39 on the November 5, 2019, election ballot. The Court also ordered the City to suspend enforcement of the ordinance on June 30, 2019.
